You’d be surprised at the amount of stores, restaurants and shops that have rewards programs for frequent shoppers. Even McDonald’s has an app that has daily deals. Download them all, sign up (hint: if you sign up with Facebook it’s much quicker) and put them all in one folder on your phone. When you’re at that store, simply bring up that stores app and save yourself money.

Do you have subscriptions to magazines you never read, subscription boxes you’re not totally in love with or memberships you don’t use? Then you’re just throwing money out the window. If you haven’t been to that gym across town in 3 months, it’s time to call and cancel the membership. If you’re subscription box has been more misses then hits, it’s time to visit their website and cancel. Look into generic brands
While we realize that their are certain brands we could never live without, (we’re looking at you Apple), chances are that there is a host of products you’re not married to. Do you really care what brand of orange juice you purchase? Are you absolutely committed to buying brand name bacon? Figure out things that you buy and compare the prices to good generic (or “private label”) brands. You may be surprised at how little difference there is. Quality private label / generic brands include Kirkland Signature (Costco) and Equate (Walmart) among many others.
Use DIY sites to fix things yourself
There is a plethora of resources online that can help you fix things yourself. You don’t have to give your own car an oil change (but you certainly could), but you can find DIY videos and tutorials on smaller things like changing your air conditioning filter or fixing your toaster.
