While you may not be the world’s biggest tea drinker, after discovering the health benefits of tea, maybe it’s time for a change. Tea has been used since the dawn of mankind for a multitude of purposes. The Chinese were pioneers in harvesting the natural health benefits of tea and it spread throughout the world.

Tea is typically broken up into four different categories: Green Tea, Black Tea, White Tea and Oolong Tea. Each has its own unique properties, but all four types of tea are remarkably beneficial to our health. High in antioxidants, tea is nearly a superfood in it’s health benefits to those that drink it regularly. From reducing cortisol levels to alleviate stress, helping to protect against cancer, fighting depression, reducing cardiovascular problems, and may even help to offset the effects of smoking on the lungs.

As always, you want to consult with your doctor. Further, investigate which brands you like and find out what’s in it. Stay away from pre-made and instant teas, and stick to brewing your own at home. You want all natural tea with no additives or preservatives. Then you can simply brew yourself a cup and bask in knowing you’re helping to give yourself a better life.
