Inge Ginsberg is a 97 year old Holocaust survivor who went from World War II spy to a heavy metal star known as Death Metal Grandma! Here is her inspirational story.
If you’ve been a reader of ours for any length of time, you already know that you’re never too old to fulfill your dreams. Inge Ginsberg knows that better than most.
Ginsberg, who is Jewish, was born in Vienna Austria and became a spy during World War II. Eventually fleeing to a refugee camp in Switerzland, she met her husband, where they moved to Hollywood in America. The duo became popular songwriters for such artists as Dean Martin, Nat King Cole and Nelson Riddle.
At age 93, she decided the way to have her voice be heard was to be unique. And what is more unique then a 93 year old heavy metal singer? Death Metal Grandma was born!
“You may laugh at me but not until you’ve done the same things at 94”, she told the hosts of Switzerland’s Got Talent.
