Journal to help manage anxiety and panic

DAY 19 CHALLENGE:       Journal Your Thoughts

How It Helps Anxiety:

While we’ve touched on journaling in the 30 Day Anxiety Challenge, we haven’t dedicated a whole days challenge to it. Today is that day because journaling is that important. Journaling helps anxiety in multiple ways and has many health benefits as well.

Reduces Stress
Journaling reduces stress by helping us to process and release feelings of hurt, sadness and anger. The simple act of writing down those thoughts allow our brains to better process them which helps us to move on from them. Additionally, it helps you actually prioritize the “problems” you have in your life by being able to see the big picture.

Self Knowledge
By regularly journaling, you begin to really see yourself as you are. Journaling promotes analyzing ones self in order to physically write down the thoughts. This self analyzation helps us to ultimately know ourselves better than we currently do.

Goal Reaching
Journaling actually helps you to achieve your goals. Studies show that by writing detailed goals, you are far more likely to achieve them.

The list of benefits to journaling is quite extensive and many of those benefits directly help manage anxiety and panic.

How To Meet Todays Goal:

Take 10 minutes and begin writing down your thoughts. Don’t judge them. Don’t think about what you “want” to write about – simply begin writing.

Wrap-Up:

Journaling is one of the best ways to help manage anxiety and panic. By putting it into practice now, you can find great benefits both short and long term in helping you.
